UP results declared: Samajwadi Party (SP) makes a clear lead in UP

Much to its own surprise, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has made a clear victory in Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election, 2012. Until the day before the counting, it was running behind the Congress and other parties with un conditional support and offers for power sharing in Uttar Pradesh.

But as the results are out, the leaders of Samajwadi Party have changed their stand and have declared Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav as the Chief Minister of U.P. Mayavathi the former chief minister of U.P. has already dissolved the cabinet even before the counting of the ballots, as she already knew that she would lose heavily.

Though the Congress has lost utterly in Uttar Pradesh, in spite of the the remarkable works of many leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadhora and Sonia Gandhi, the prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh phoned up and congratulated the chief of Samajwadi Party Mr Mulayam Sing Yadhav and his son Akhilesh Yadav.

The biggest shock for the Congress Party is that it lost even in its strong holds like Amethi and Rai Barelly....!!! It is high time for the party to evaluate this outcome seriously...!
