Aruvikkara By-Election voting on June 27. Who will WIN?

The Election Commission of India on Tuesday (May 26) announced the by-election dates for the different vacant Legislative Assembly Seats in India including the Aruvikkara Assembly seat in Kerala which became vacant following the death of its MLA G Karthikeyan who had also been serving as the Speaker of Kerala Assembly.

The by-election notification will be released on 2015 June 3rd and the last date for filing of nominations is June 10th. The elections will be held on June 27 (Saturday) and the counting of votes will be done on June 30 (Tuesday) and the results will be announced following the counting.

The Aruvikkara By-polls are very significant because of the present unpleasant political situations prevailing in Kerala. People are eager to watch the outcome of the elections.

Both the ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) and the opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF) are under huge corruption allegations and are trying to make-over their faces. More over, both the fronts are having and trying to tackle defiant dissident allies.

While the UDF is unable to manage its former 'government chief whip' P C Gorge who is waging an open war against the front and many of its members being within it, the LDF's biggest head-ache is its senior opposition leader, V S Achuthanandan who will never comply with the official leadership of the state.

Many people feel that this election is a referendum to the ruling Oommen Chandy Government which is facing a lot of corruption and mismanagement allegations.

Some people are eagerly watching the developments to know whether the prophecies of defiant P C George will come true that the 'UDF will be no more after June 2015'...!
