Kerala Engineering Entrance (KEAM) Rank NOT Required for Admission in 2015

The Government of Kerala has announced today that ALL students who appear for the Entrance Examination (KEAM) in 2015 will become eligible for admission for Engineering without any minimum marks criteria.

That means anyone who appears the entrance test will become eligible for Engg study.

According to the state Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb, this decision of the Kerala Government to relax the eligibility criteria of the KEAM entrance TEST for securing admission in to engineering colleges is to help both the Private Engineering Colleges (that did not get the required number of students) and the students (who did not get admission as they did not get the minimum marks in the earlier KEAM entrance exams).

Though this decision of the government will help mainly the Private Engineering Colleges that could not fill their seats as there were no takers, due to lack of amenities and proper standards, people feel that such a move would affect the educational standards of the state.

However this move of the government is lauded by most people as it will help even the average studentss of Kerala to secure an engg admission in Kerala itself without being the prey of educational brokers who would have gained by admitting them in the poor colleges of the other states.

See the KEAM 2015 Examination details which is to be held in April, 2015.
