What is 'Twenty-Twenty' Kizhakkambalam?
And within a very short time, Kizhakkambalam gained global attention and acclamation as the collective effort of the people to develop their Village Panchayat the best in the country and make it a 'model one', proved brilliantly beyond everyone's expectations.
The brain behind this great people's movement is one Sabu M Jacob, the Managing Director of a reputed garment industry in the country known as 'Kitex'. Sabu M Jacob is not the richest person in the state. There are more than 100 wealthy persons who rank above him in their income. But Sabu M Jacob definitely ranks number one, not only in the state but probably in the whole country itself as a great humanitarian who has real concern for his fellow beings. It is that charity mind that he received from his parents that drives him to strive for the welfare of the society and his mother land.
Normally business people especially who are very wealthy, bother only about increasing their income and wealth further. They spend their leisure time by enjoying lives to their heart's content. Just to show the public and to fulfil the country's mandatory 'Corporate Social Responsibilities' (CSR) rule they donate some money or do some charity work. That's all!
But Sabu Jacob belongs to a rare and unique genre. He is a genius business man who made the Kitex company one of the top in Asia. His Company 'Kitex' is the largest employer in Kerala state in the private sector. [One should understand that it is very difficult to run a company in Kerala where labour union headaches are a always a big problem]. And as he is an upright and humanitarian person, he is loved and honoured not only by the employees of his business groups but also by the general public.
In the 2015 local self government polls, Twenty20 contested in the Kizhakkambalam Grama Panchayth council and won 17 out of the 19 seats and shocked the traditional political parties who are generally corrupt. Vowing to make Kizhakkampalam the best and ideal Panchayat in India by 2020 they adopted strategies for the sustainable development of the area. And well before 2020, the 'Kizhakkambalam Model Government' got international fame and many curious persons from around he world started visiting Kizhakkambalam to see and study their success and to implement in their countries.
They could achieve brilliantly everything declared in their 2015 election manifesto, before 2020 itself. They could provide permanent drinking water to all household. All roads are beautifully constructed and maintained. Houses and toilets in the village constructed and repaired by the local administration. They also give aid for expensive treatments and weddings.

Seeing the amazing works and welfare activities of Twenty20, people of other panchayaths as well are overwhelmed with joy and accepted their methods to form governments in their villages too. In the recently held 2020 local polls, they won all the five grama panchayths with thumping majority where they contested.
Seeing the total acceptance of twenty20 among the people, some leaders of the the three dominating political fronts in Kerala named LDF, UDF, NDA, who have been exploiting the poor people for many years have gone insane. These political fronts that criticise each other on several issues joined together to attack the twenty20 volunteers during the previous local polls. Kerala witnessed with much shock and grief some political goons manhandling very cruelly some innocent voters on the polling day to prevent voters from casting their mandate for Twenty20. And the most socking thing was that none of the leaders of Congress, CPI(M) or BJP contemned the attack till this date. Because of this the popularity of Tewnty20 increased and many neutral voters started hating these parties and fronts and have decided to support Twenty20 hereafter.
In the ensuing 2021 Assembly Elections, Team Twenty20 has declared its decision to contest Ernakulam Assembly Constituency in Kerala. They have also expressed their willingness to contest other constituencies as well. It is hoped that the Keralites will ditch the corrupt politicians and teach them a fitting lesson by voting for the Twenty20 candidates for the betterment of their lives and the total development of 'God's Own Country' without corruption or unjust practices...!
