Brother Mario Joseph needs no introduction in the religious and social arena of Kerala. He had served as an islamic scholar and imam before knowing and believing the only true God Jesus Christ. Proclaiming the Good News among the masses particularly the muslim world is one of his main missions. For the attainment of this Calling and to extend other charitable services to humanity, he has started a ministry with the support of his wife and team, by name Philokalia Foundation.
The Greek word Philokalia means 'Love of the Beautiful/Holy/Exalted'. Through this foundation Br Mario Joseph and his team strive to extend any and every service possible to the society without any religious or racial barriers. They have been distributing food kits to the needy in this pandemic situation. They also provide medical services to the poor. Another remarkable service venture initiated by them is constructing houses for the homeless.
I am writing this article especially to bring to the notice of the public another novel but very essential venture Philokalia foundation launched recently. Many Christian youths above 30 years are remaining unmarried in Kerala for various reasons.
