Erattupetta in Kerala becoming an 'islamic state'?

The Impact of Demographics on Societal Dynamics: A Perspective on Rising Muslim Populations

In regions (whether large or small) with burgeoning Muslim populations, there's a prevalent discourse globally about the potential for the emergence of Islamic terrorism. Places with predominantly Islamic demographics like Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, afghanisthan, among others, stand out as locations where Islamic ideologies are implemented that has caused the deterioration of law and order and peace and harmony or developments.

Looking ahead, it's becoming evident that the narrative is shifting towards a more nuanced understanding. Instead of blaming asylum seekers for rising crime rates, there's acknowledgment that higher crime rates in certain European countries are due to underlying socio-economic factors rather than the refugee influx.

Today, similar discussions are underway, echoing parallel concerns:

Escalating crime rates...
Acts of terrorism...
The ramifications of Islamic extremism...
Communities alienated by law enforcement...

Increase in anti national and anti social activities..

These are the pressing issues of our time, demanding thoughtful consideration and action. As demographics continue to evolve, understanding and addressing these complex dynamics become increasingly imperative for fostering inclusive societies globally. It's not about attributing blame but rather about recognizing and mitigating the root causes of social challenges.

India is the largest democracy in the world, where people from diverse backgrounds, including varying castes, creeds, and religions, have coexisted harmoniously for many centuries. However, certain extremist teachings, often associated with Islamic terrorism, have led to the radicalization of some individuals within the Muslim community, influencing their political inclinations.

In regions like Kerala, the ruling government, led by Pinarayi Vijayan, secured power with significant support from this community. Consequently, there's a perception that the government turns a blind eye to crimes and atrocities committed by individuals associated with this demographic, shielding them from legal repercussions.

A recent incident in Punjar serves as a stark example of this trend. Approximately 50 young men trespassed on the grounds of St Mary's Church and engaged in reckless behavior, including racing vehicles. When confronted by the assistant parish priest regarding their disruptive conduct during Eucharistic Adoration, they violently hit him with a vehicle, intending to assault him. Despite strong condemnation from the Christian community and demands for swift justice, law enforcement, purportedly acting on directives from the government, has been hesitant to take action, even withholding the identities of the perpetrators.

One of the popular ex muslims of India, Dr. Arif Hussain Theruvoth, who is an outspoken critic of Islamic terrorist practices, has shed light on the situation in Erattupetta, a hamlet in Kerala's Kottayam district. He describes it as reminiscent of an Islamic state, where adherence to state laws is lacking, and authorities hesitate to enforce penalties for violations. Such observations underscore the challenges posed by religious extremism and the importance of upholding the rule of law impartially, regardless of religious affiliations.
