The show aired on October eighth (8th October, 2012) has gained very high significance with the season's best contestant, Merin Gregory bagging hundred percent marks and thus setting a new record in the long history of Star Singer...! The 2 male judges, popular music director M.Jayachandran and Malayalam's noted play back singer M G Srikumar (who are considered as stingy in awarding marks...!) stunned the other female judges (Usha Uthup and ), the contestant herself and all the world-wide audience by declaring 100 percent marks for Merin who sang and performed the famous Hindi song perfectly well.


With this performance Merin has set a new record and has got a chance to sing as a play back singer in a film to be music directed by M Jayachandran...!

Asianet 'Lunars Comedy express' launched with spectacular performances

The people who are leading a hefty and tense life style now-a-days are interested to spend some lighter moments before the TV channels during their leisure hours. Most TV channels have found out the fact that more people are interested in watching comedy programs than tragedy shows. Taking this as a lesson the popular Malayalam entertainment channel, Asianet has launched another comedy program on it very successfully recently titles, 'Comedy express'...!
