Mammootty Kick Starts 'My Tree Challenge' and challenges Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay and Suriya

Taking inspiration from the quick and rapid viral success of 'Ice Bucket Challenge', South Indian film super star Bharath Mammootty has launched another movement by name 'My Tree Challenge' ...!

My tree Challenge is the brain child of Abdul Manaf, a business man and Imthias Kadeer, a photographer. Through this program, if one person is challenged by another activist and he is to accept the challenge, he has to plant a sapling and challenge (invite) three others to follow suit.

Those who join this movement by challenge (invitation) have to refer or invite three others to duplicate it further.

Mega star Mammootty has challenged Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan, Tamil Ilaya Dalapathi Vijay and Super star Suriya.

If they too accept Mammootty's challenge and join this movement, this undertaking is to get huge momentum and publicity and it is to play a great and quick change in our environment. 

Ujala Asianet Film Award 2012 Announced: Mohan Lal - Best Actor

The much awaited Ujala Asianet film awards 2012 has been declared. The Best Actors, and best movies and artists for the 2012 film Awards is announced in a colorful event in Dubai on January 7th, 2012.

Ujjala Asinet Film award has become the top most and prestigious one in the South Indian film industry, specially the Malayalam cine industry to choose and honor the talents in the cine industry.

Asianet has aired the movies of the year 2011 and viewers were given an opportunity to choose and vote for their favorite Actors like Hero, Heroine, Villain, Comedian, character artists, supporting side actors etc.

People also voted and selected the best Director, Musician, Singers (male and female), cinematographer, story writer, lyrics writer, etc.

Here are the Results of the Ujala-Asinet film Awards, 2012 held in Dubai.

Mohan Lal is selected as the best actor. films: Snehaveedu, Pranayam, Arabiyum Ottakavum P.Madhavan Nairum, Christian Brothers.

Kavya Madhavan is chosen as the best Actress - films: Gadhama,Bhaktha Janangalude Shradhakke,Vyapari

Salim Ahmed is the best Director- film: Aadaminte Makan Abu

Aadaminte Makan Abu won the Best Film title also.

Mammootty is conferd the 'Golden Star' title while Shahrukh Khan was given 'Life time Achevement Award'.

Jayaram was the best popular Actor. Films: Seniors, Swapna Sanchari, Nayika, Make-up Man.

Samvritha Sunil is the best popular actress. Films: Swapna Sanchari,Manikyakallu.

Innocent was awarded as the best Character Actor of the year and Padma Priya, the best character actress.

Sreenivasan and Swetha were the best supporting actor and actress.

While Vijaya Ragavan became the best villain, the best comedian was Suraj Venjaramood.

IT Raids on South Indian Super stars, Mammootty and Mohanlal

The income tax department of India is conducting raids on Malayalam film super stars, Mammootty and Mohanlal. Film stars are ordinary people with a proven ability to act and so they have chosen that field as a means to make a living.

Unfortunately many people especially in India consider them as gods and give them undue respect. They are of course, good as they entertain the people with their action. For that they receive reasonable remuneration too.

As far as the law of the land is concerned, cine actors or politicians too are equal citizens just like any other poor Indian. Everyone in the country is expected to follow the country's laws without any exemptions. No one is expected to take any undue advantage of his power, influence or popularity.
