Thrikkakara by polls 2022: List of Contesting Candidates.

Notification for the by-election to the Thrikkakara Assembly constituency in Ernakulam district has been declared by the Election commission of India recently. The voting is to take place on 2022 May 31st and the counting of votes will be done on June 3. As winning the Thrikkakkara seat is vital for the very existence of UDF, particularly the Congress party, they have announced the contesting candidate unanimously before the other parties.

If LDF candidate manages to make a victory, it will jeopardize the damages being inflicted by the ruling communist party in Kerala. The majority of the people are against the ruling LDF government that is stubbornly introducing antipeople policies and projects with the only aim of looting the state. Even though the LDF government led by pinarayi vijayan got a shining mandate in the 2021 elections, the government has proved that it is an utter failure in all aspects.

It is the need of the hour to give a fitting shock treatment to the arrogant government led by pinarayi vijayan.

This time the winning chances of UDF candidate is less as the NDA has gained more strength in the recent past with a section of Christians supporting it.

The emergence of Aam Admi Party and the twenty20 party and other groups such as v4 kerala supporting them is a positive signal for the possibility for them to make a difference this time.

But there is also a risk by this that the neutral votes may scatter and this will help the LDF to make a narrow victory as most of the LDF sympathizers will cast their votes for that party only even if they are not happy with it!

Total list of 8 Candidates contesting the Thrikkakara byelection 2022

1. UDF     -  Uma Thomas (Congress party)

2. LDF     -  Dr. Jo Joseph (CPI(M))

3. NDA    -  A. N. Radhakrishanan (BJP)

4. IND     -  Anil Nair

5. IND     -  Jomon Joseph

6. IND     -  C P Dileep Kumar

7. IND     -  Bosco Kalamassery

8. IND     -  Manmadhan

N.B: Even though there were talks in the beginning that the fourth front 'Aam Aadmi - Twenty20 alliance' also would contest, but after gathering opinions of the public, they decided not to contest in this bypoll in order to facilitate the easy victory of the UDF candidate with a huge margin this time!

Please give your opinion on the prepoll survey who/which party will win the Thrikkakara bypoll 2022:

UDF Landslide Victory in Malappuram Bypoll. Candidates and Votes

In Malappuram Lok Sabha Parliament By-election, the IUML candidate of the UDF, P K Kunhalikkutty secured a stunning and remarkable victory.

The victory of UDF's Muslim League Candidate in Malappuram Parliamentary constituency by-election held on 12th April, 2017 was expected and predicted in another post in this http://popular-opinion.blogspot.in/ blog. It is proved 100% correct. PK Kunjalikkutty defeated his nearest rival M B Faizel of LDF and secured an overwhelming majority of 1,71,078...!

This stunning result of UDF is a direct and clear indication to the Pinarayi's dictator rule in the state as already announced by the CPI(M) leadership. Had the LDF government in the state been pro-poor and people friendly, even if the UDF secured a victory in Malappuram Loksabha by-election, the margin would not have been this much huge, despite some Muslim parties extending their open support for LDF before the elections.

Now as the message of the people of Kerala is clear, the only alternative left with the CPI(M) is to replace Pinarayi Vijayan with V S Achuthanadandan or some other capable and corrupt-free leaders form the LDF and make him as the Chief Minister of Kerala. This may help to heal the wounds caused in the minds of people who trusted Pinarayi Vijayan and were terribly dismayed.

If Pinarayi Vijayan truly considers the party interests more than his personal interests, he should volunteer to quit the CM's office taking into consideration the feeling of the people of Kerala through this Malappuram verdict. If he justifies himself and tries to cling on his position, it will only help to distance many activists and sympathizers from the LDF. Those leaders who act as 'spoons' of Pinarayi like Kodiyeri Balakrishanan, M M Mani, G Sudhakaran, K K Sailaja are only increasing the damage being caused by the government by their blind flattering.

Below is the Final Results / List of the Malappuram Loksabha By-poll, 2017.

Candidate Name:         Votes bagged:  Margin:   Percentage

1.  P K KUnhalikutty (UDF)    5,15,330      1,71,028   55.04%
