The recent survey by Bangalore based NGO 'Rescue' that "the youth of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana state are increasingly becoming addicted to online, mobile and internet porn" is very alarming and disturbing.According to the reports released by the NGO, majority of the youth in Hyderabad in the age group of 18 - 21 watch pornographic material regularly. The results of the survey conducted in 13 city colleges reveal that 58 percent of the respondents admitted to watching online adult content.
The NGO which submitted the survey results to the city police commissioner and the education department also demanded the immediate ban of online or offline porn.
The study also found that more than 85,000 sex videos are watched by the youth of the city colleges alone who are between 18 and 21 years of age.
Most of the concerned citizens of the country also have been demanding a ban on pornography since long. It is not good for the country nor it is in par with our civilization.
There are many reports of many smaller children below 10 years of age watching such blue films and getting addicted to them.
Some time back our present prime minister Modi stated proudly that the majority of the Indian population (65%) comes in the age-group of 20 to 35 and the future of the country during their time would be golden and the country would leap forward to occupy the first place in growth and development.
If such dreams are to come true, the present leaders and rulers should be bold enough to take stern actions to curb all such dirty materials on the web.
