Ecologically Fragile Areas (EFAs) also known as Eco-Sensitive Zones (ESZs) are areas notified in India by the Modi government's Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC), purported to protect areas around forests, Wildlife Sanctuaries, and National Parks.
