Goa counting over. Final results declared. BJP storms to power with 26 seats...!

The small western state of Goa also has forsaken the oldest party of India, the Congress. As the results of the 2012 Assembly elections are announced, BJP has seen an unexpected victory in the state and for Congress it was a shameful defeat.

The BJP and its allays have swept a simple majority in Goa, much to the surprise to all the contestants and parties.

Goa Total Seats - 40

BJP +  won    ----26 seats
Congress won -----9 seats
Others won      ----5 seats

Punjab Results declared.SAD-BJP Retain Power in Punjab

The counting of votes in Punjab has ended and the Shironmani Akali Dal (SAD) + BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) alliance has retained power in the state defeating Congress which was sure of winning in the state with comfortable majority.

It was a big set back for Congress as it was very confident of winning in Punjab. How ever the Prime Minister has called and congratulated the Punjab Chief Minister Praksh Sing Badal....!
