Kerala's DGP ranked officer Dr. Jacob Thomas IPS today officially announced the formation of a new Organization named Excel Kerala which is mainly aimed at reaching good governance, development and zero corruption in Kerala state. It also aims to achieve human rights, gender equality, peace and non-violence etc.

Many prominent personalities of Kerala from different walks of life, have also joined the movement which is said to be non-political. Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Test (KEAM) for the year 2015 was conducted successfully on April 22nd and 23rd. Though there was some confusion initially over the declaration of the education minister that KEAM rank (pass) is not required to secure an admission in the Engineering colleges in the state, later it was corrected and announced that the minimum marks for eligible rank is 10 like the previous year. 

As scheduled and declared, the tests were held smoothly without any hindrances or hope for anyone to raise any allegations.

All the students who appeared for the entrance exams are eagerly and anxiously waiting for the Announcement of Results on 2015 May 20 (Wednesday). 

As announced earlier, the results are to be declared by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams (CEE) under the Kerala state Higher Education department on 20th May, 2015 at 12 noon.

Kerala State Digital Collaborative E- Text Books website

On the occasion of celebrating Kerala UDF Government's fourth successful year, the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy inaugurated 'the Digital Collaborative multi-media E-Text Book's in Schools' which is a very novel and innovative move that will be a milestone decision to improve further the standard of learning to a higher level.

According to the CM this is the first time in the entire country a state government introducing digital collaborative eBooks for the school students. This facility will be set in motion in all the government run schools in the state of Kerala (in Kerala majority of schools have broadband internet facility) during this academic year itself. This venture is to be implemented by the Kerala Government's Department of General Education, IT@School.

The digital eText Books would be made available in smart phones and computers. Through this scheme, the original class text books would be scanned and uploaded. There are some 'marked spots' on the online pages, where detailed explanation from hundreds of subject experts / specialist are given in audio and video formats. A student can click this mark to get a collaborative stuff related to the particular topic.
