chandy oommen s/o senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy yesterday exposed his (probably his father's) attitude about many burning issues caused these days by the islamic terrorism. In a talk delivered in a muslim students political gathering, he justified the devilish act of Turkey president erdogan, converting the world famous Hagia Sophia Church into a mosque. 

He also justified the recent act of 'halalization' by a section of the muslim community intended to invade the markets and to widen the gap among different religions living amicably in India since centuries.

Already Christian and Hindu community in Kerala have apprehensions these days that the UDF party which they have been supporting, is being hijacked by muslim leage party which has been revealing its 'true coluor' these days. Though the party pretends to be 'secular', all their actions prove that they are rigid religious. The party's stand against Christians and others in the state recently have caused Christians and Hindus ditch the UDF for fear that if UDF wins in the ensuing elections, muslim leage party will gain more strength in the Kerala government which is dangerous for the state and even for 'secularism'

To appease the muslim crowd and to win their applauds in the MSF meating, chandy oommen yesterday passed derogatory statements about many burning issues that have hurt severely the feelings of Christians worldwide. Whether knowingly or unknowingly chandy oommen has cleared the doubts in the minds of Christians that UDF is no more a party for them. No doubt, his speech will also contribute considerably in digging the grave of UDF in Kerala.

Sister Abhaya Murder Case: Kerala High Court Issues Notice To CBI

The Kerala High court on Tuesday admitted the appeal filed by Fr Thomas Kottoor, one of the the accused in the murder case of Sister Abhaya and issued notice to the CBI.

The notice to the CBI was served by the division bench of the Kerala High Court comprising Justices K Vinod Chandran and M R Anitha.

In the appeal Fr Kottoor challenged that the trial court had not quoted the actual evidences in the judgement and pleaded that the verdict is based on the "unconnected story circumstances culled out from unreliable solitary witnesses".

The appeal also says that the trial and conviction of the two as criminals by the CBI court are vitiated by serious illegalities and irregularities.

Ever since the blundersome judgement of the Thiruvananthapuram CBI court on 23rd December 2020, accusing Father Thomas Kottur and Sister Sefy as the culprits and sentencing them to life imprisonment, there is wide outcry and criticisms from the public including judges, legal experts, lawyers, surgeons, journalists etc about the grave illegalities and irregularities in the quick and fast verdict.

As the Honorable High court has accepted the appeal of Fr Thomas Kottoor for a retrial, all the people who have faith in the judiciary are very happy and are hopful that Sr Abhaya death case verdict by the the CBI judge will be quashed and the wrongly sentenced will be released free!

Highlights of Kerala's Election oriented Budget 2021-2022

The Kerala finance minister Thomas Isaac presented the state's Financial Budget for the year 2021-2022 today. As there are only hardly 4 months left for the state Assembly Elections, this budget is considered as an interim budget even though the ruling LDF government claims it will be a regular one!

As this budget is presented keeping mainly the Assembly Elections in May, it is better to state it as a 'Welfare Budget'! Without giving any valid details of generating income, huge amounts are allocated for the welfare of people without hurting anyone carefully! By presenting the budget for 3 hours and 15 minutes, Thomas Isaac broke the 'record' of former finance UDF minister K M Mani.

Here are the main points of the Kerala Budget 2021-22:

* All welfare pensions are hiked to Rs. 1600/- per month wef April 2021.

* Rs 1000 increased in honorarium for people's representatives.

* Rs 1000 hiked in Asha workers monthly allowance.

* Allowance of pre-primary ayahs lifted upto Rs 1000.

* Honorarium of 'school councillors' made Rs 24,000.

* Rs 1000 hiked in the Monthly allowance of School librarians.

* NRI pension will be Rs 3500/per month and NRI returnees pension is Rs. 3000/per month.

* Employment opportunity for 8 lakh jobless people.

* Laptop for all homes.

* Free internet for BPL families.

* Jobs for 20 lakh people within 5 years.

* Launching Kerala Government's 'digital employment platform' for the unemployed to register and get jobs.

* Financial support to '2500 start-ups' to give jobs to 25,000.

* More houses to be constructed and distributed through 'life mission project'.

* 150000 houses to be completed within one year.

* Special rehabilitation program and packages for NRI returnees.

* Special support for 'work from home'.

* 'Karunya home project' for door delivery of medicines to the aged.
