CPI(M) Candidates list for contesting Kerala Assembly Elections 2021

By publishing the list of candidates to contest in the ensuing Assembly polls before other parties, the CPI(M) party has again made an exemplary move. While the BJP is searching for some candidates, the UDF is trying to solve group issues and pacify revolting leaders.

The party claims that it has done justice to all sections of the society while preparing the candidates list. The list consists of 13 youth who have come from student wings of cpi-m party movements.

Eight candidates are contesting from the party state committee. 33 sitting members of Assembly are not contesting again. 5 sitting ministers are also not given chance to contest again. 12 of the contestants are women. The list of 83 out of 85 candidates published, 73 are CPI(M) members and 9 are independents backed by CPM.

Asianet News - C FORE Kerala Pre-Poll Survey Results 2021

2021 Kerala Assembly Election dates are not yet declared. But all political parties are trying various strategies to secure maximum seats in the polls and grab power. Even though the ruling LDF government is plunged in neck-deep corruptions, inefficiency and all sorts of malpractices, C M Pinarayi Vijayan and team seem to be very confident of getting comfortable seats to rule Kerala state once again.

At the same time, for the Congress led UDF, it is a life and death game. If they fail to win maximum seats and form the government this time, it will be a fatal blow not only to the Indian National Congress party, but to all the parties in the front that may even affect their survival.  

And for the BJP, it is a golden chance to fish from the muddy water and to put a solid political base by winning some seats in Kerala. BJP's advancement in Kerala is considered as a dangerous move for the minorities particularly the Muslims.

There are also news and speculations about the 'secret deal' between the CPI(M) and the BJP to help one another to destroy the Congress party completely.

The entry of new popular political parties like 'Twenty20 party' and 'One India One Pension' (OIOP) will be a threat to all the three fronts in this elections, particularly to the UDF.

Though nothing is predictable at the moment, everyone is eager to know the current trends and the latest survey results for a temporary relief.

The first pre poll survey is conducted by 'Asianet news and C Fore' with regard to the Kerala Assembly Election 2021. In this survey the verdict is in favour of the ruling Pinarayi Vijayan government. Here are the survey results in a nutshell. 

* The survey predicts the possibility of LDF coming back to power with the advantage it may get in the Assembly segments of Southern Kerala.

* The 'free food kits' being supplied to all households and the hiked welfare pensions are the most liked schemes of this government.

* Majority of the people feel Pinarayi Vijayan as the most preferred candidate to be the Chief Minister with 39% votes, followed by Oommen Chandy with 18% votes. 9% of the survey participants preferred Shashi Tharoor as the CM candidates and 7% opted K K Sailaja. Only 6% of the participants voted for Ramesh Chennithala and 5% K Surendran.

* The survey predicts that BJP will not make any impressive improvement in this election as of now.

കെ എം മാണിയുടെ മരണശേഷം കേരള കോൺഗ്രസ് പാർട്ടിയുടെ തലപ്പത്തെത്തിയ ജോസ് തന്റെ അപക്വവും, ധാർഷ്ട്യവും ഏകപക്ഷീയവുമായ പല പ്രവർത്തികളും നിലപാടുകളും വഴി പാർട്ടിയിലെ പല മുതിര്ന്ന നേതാക്കളെയും അനേകം പ്രവർത്തകരെയും പിണക്കുന്നതു കേരള സമൂഹം കാണാനിടയായി. അങ്ങനെ ഒരുനാൾ പെട്ടെന്ന് ഇക്കാലമത്രയും U D F -ന്റ് ഭാഗമായിരുന്ന കേരള കോൺഗ്രസിനെ L D F -ൽ ബന്ധിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇതോടെ നാളിതുവരെ തങ്ങളെ പിന്തുണച്ച പാലായിലെ ജനങ്ങളെ വെല്ലുവിളിക്കുന്നതായ ഒരു സന്ദേശം നൽകുകയുണ്ടായി.  

വരുന്ന തെരെഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ ജോസ് കെ മാണി L D F -ന്റെ ഭാഗമായി മത്സരിക്കുമെന്ന് ഏതാണ്ട് ഉറപ്പായത്തോടുകൂടെ ഇത്രയും നാൾ L D F -ന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്ന മാണി സി കാപ്പൻ തനിക്കു പാലാ സീറ്റ് എൽ ഡി എഫിൽ നിന്ന് കിട്ടുകയില്ലെന്നു മനസിലാക്കി തന്റെ പാർട്ടിയെ യു ഡി എഫിൽ ചേർത്തതായി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. രാഷ്ട്രീയ സഖ്യത്തെയും പാർട്ടിയെയും കാൾ   തനിക്കു വലുത് തന്നെ ആദ്യമായി നിയമസഭയിൽ എത്തിച്ച പാലാ ആണെന്നും പാലാ തനിക്കു ചങ്കു ആണെന്നും കാപ്പൻ തുടരെ തുടരെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.  

രണ്ടു നേതാക്കന്മാരുടെയും സഖ്യ മാറ്റം പാലായിലെ വോട്ടർമാരെ ആകെ കുഴപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ആര്  ഇവിടെ ജയിക്കും  ആര് തോൽക്കും എന്നുള്ളത് ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രവചിക്കാൻ പറ്റാത്ത സാഹചര്യമാണ്. ക്രൈസ്തവ ഭൂരിപക്ഷമുള്ള പാലായിലെ ജനങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ ഒരു വശത്തു് LDF -നോടുള്ള വെറുപ്പ്, മറു വശത്തു സമീപകാല വിദ്വേഷ പ്രസംഗങ്ങൾ മൂലം UDF -നോടു ഉണ്ടായ  അകൽച്ച, മറ്റൊരു വശത്തു അടുത്തകാലത്തായി BJP -യോടുള്ള മൃദു സമീപനം... ഇതിനെല്ലാം പുറമെ സ്വീകാര്യനായ ഒരു വ്യക്തി ട്വന്റി20  യുടെ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായാൽ ഉണ്ടായേക്കാവുന്ന ചലനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം വോട്ടർമാരെ അവസാന നിമിഷം വരെ സ്വാധീനിച്ചേക്കാവുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളാണ്. 

എന്നിരുന്നാലും ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ അവസ്ഥയിൽ എം ൽ എ എന്ന നിലയിൽ തന്റെ ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലത്തേ പ്രവർത്തന മികവ് മാണി സി കാപ്പന് ജനങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ മികച്ച ആദരവും സ്വീകാര്യതയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നതിൽ സംശയമില്ല.

Dr Shashi Tharoor has been a Lok Sabha Member from Thiruvanathapuram in Kerala since 2009. He is a Congress leader having fans (majority of them literate) throughout the country and abroad. Before entering active politics in India, he served as the Under Secretary General of the United Nations Organization.

Even though Shashi Tharoor is one of the few highly learned and efficient politicians in the country and has been doing justice to his position as a staunch Congress M P, it is not known why the Congress leadership has not recognized him properly or used his ideas and expertness for the betterment of the party and the country. May be it is because he is not a member of any useless groups in the state Congress that usually prevent the party from winning elections.

Recently the Congress high command gave Shashi Tharoor the responsibility of drafting the Congress Election Manifesto for the upcoming Assembly Elections . This move is considered as a positive movement by the people. As he is probably the only politician in India who can prepare a manifesto in accordance to the international standards, it is hoped that he will do it very brilliantly and systematically. 

As a part of his new responsibility, Shashi Tharur has already started the program titled as 'Talk to Tharoor' in which the response is awesome. He has started interacting with people belonging to various sections of the society such as youths, students, women, corporates, etc and collecting their ideas for preparing the manifesto.

ക്രൈം മാഗസിന്റെ ചീഫ് എഡിറ്റർ ആയ ടി പി നന്ദകുമാർ ഒരു കാര്യം ആരോപിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിനു തക്കതായ ശക്തമായ തെളിവുകൾ അടങ്ങുന്ന രേഖകൾ കരുതാറുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു അഴിമതിക്കാർ എത്രതന്നെ ഉന്നതരായിരുന്നാലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആരോപണങ്ങളുടെ മുൻപിൽ തല കുനിച്ചു കണ്ടില്ലെന്നു നടിക്കാറാണ് പതിവ്.  

സുപ്രീം കോടതി ചീഫ് ജസ്റ്റിസിനെ പോലും അദ്ദേഹം വിമർശിച്ചിട്ടു    നാളിതുവരെ ഒരു നടപടിയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെതിരെ ആരും എടുക്കാൻ മുതിർന്നതായി അറിവില്ല! അങ്ങനെ ടി പി നന്ദകുമാർ എന്ന പത്രപ്രവർത്തകൻ അഴിമതിക്കും അക്രമത്തിനുമെതിരായി നടത്തുന്ന തന്റെ പോരാട്ടം ജനങ്ങളുടെ ആദരവും, വിശ്വസ്തതയും പിന്തുണയും നേടി സധൈര്യം മുന്നേറുന്നു!
