Kerala Police a Big Failure Under Pinarayi Vijayan - Loknath Behara?

The Kerala Police was compared to the Scotland Yard Police few decades ago. Before the invention and use of latest modern technological products and gadgets, some cases investigated and unearthed by the Kerala Police Personal literally stunned not only the people of the country, but also the world. Many a times they got their clue to the incidents from a small piece of waste paper or a piece of thread. Many films were also made basing the cleverness of this Kerala Police.

But now-a-days, the sudden rise of criminal activities that are taking place in Kerala and the incapability of the police is making everyone wonder and ask whether the police that is employed by the people of Kerala and receiving salaries from the people, are there to protect the life and property of the people. Kerala Police has become a matter of shame and partner and protector of criminals and goons these days. Whose is the fault?

It is quite funny to understand that the Kerala Police is struggling to identify and nab the culprits who killed Mishel Shaji in Ernakulam recently, even though the family of the deceased collected a lot of video footages and other crucial evidences (which the police could not collect)!

The chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan is holding the home ministry portfolio that is in charge of the police departemnt. As soon as he took charge, he removed DGP Senkumar (who was considered and proved as a clean and efficient officer) and appointed Loknath Behara in his place. People are now asking whether this controversial appointment was to place a person who will be loyal to the CM and carryout his wishes without a question! The CM is not bothered about the popular opinion of the people that Kerala is becoming a totalitarian state!

Some people are asking whether there is a police department in Kerala state? Inspite of the heinous crimes and murders are rising rapidly, the higher officials remain safe by making some statements admitting 'police failure' and suspend one or two small officers (to induct them back after this heat is over!) The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan whom the people gave their mandate expecting a lot, remain stubborn in his statements by trying to describe all the deaths as 'suicides' to protect the accused persons who are affluent and having some association with his CPI(M) party.

On the other hand, the Chief minister is seen praising and supporting repeatedly the vigilance director Jacob Thomas (he is using even the legislative Assembly for this purpose) on his actions of vengeance attributed against all the IAS officers of the state. Jacob Thomas was considered as an honest and fearless officer early, but now he has spoiled and damaged his own image by indulging in cheap personal vendetta of very low grade in the name of stopping corruption!

Just see how many burning issues rocked Kerala recently where the Government and Police were either found supporting the culprits or being in a state of silence and helplessness, due to the involvement of CPIM activists or the accused having CPIM association!

Not only the oppositions, but many personalities including Police Complaint Authority Chairman Justice Narayana Kurup, veteran CPI(M) Leader VS Achuthanandan and many CPI leaders are criticizing strongly the indifferent attitude of the government and the police in many cases.

There is a feeling in some elected persons that they are safe until the end of their terms. People (not only Communist sympathizers) put a lot of faith in the LDF and Pinarayi Vijayan and elected to power, expecting that they would do justice to their roles. If they do not heed to the cries of the public, they should listen to the voices of their conscience at least to get a permanent spot in the peoples minds! Otherwise, time will teach them a fitting lesson! (Not only them, but also the other members in the ministry and government, who are doing exceptionally well)!

Chennai RK Nagar By-election 12 April 2017: Who will win?

Filing Nominations for the by-election to the RK Nagar Assembly Constituency in Chennai commences today and ends on 23 instant. The Voting will be held on April 12 th and the results of the elections will be out on April 15.

RK Nagar was the constituency of late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha. After her mysterious death recently (in which her criminal associate Sasikal's hand is suspected...) the ugly tug of war for the CM's post between Jaya's confidante maid Sasikala and faithful political alternative Panneer Selvam was witnessed by one and all. As the political wind and the governor's decision favored Sasikala's side, her nominee was made the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu before she went to the Prison in Karnataka to serve her term of imprisonment.

Now as the date for filing the nominations has come, once again the world is going to witness a lot of undemocratic incidents until the counting of the votes and announcement of the results on April 15.

So far Sasikala's side AIADMK is fielding her nephew Dinakaran (who was expelled by Jayalalitha in 2011) and DMK has declared Maruthu Ganesh as their candidates. Jayalalitha's niece Deepa Jayakumar has already announced her decision to contest and started campaigning in the constituency. Now people are eagerly waiting to see what the powerful (and cunning) BJP is going to do to utilize this favorable situation! Because that party has been proving its capability to 'divide and win' policy in the country.

Whatever the outcome of the elections, it is expected that money and freebies will flow in the constituency. Because As Sasiakala's candidate was expelled by Jayalalitha from the party, the people of RK Nagar may not accept Dinakaran easily. But Sasikala's camp also will not accept the fact and give up easily, but will do what ever possible, even move the mountains, to secure a victory!

Who will win? You are welcome to guess!

Indian Assembly Elections 2017: Exit Polls Results

Elections to the 5 states Assemblies including the crucial UP state concluded yesterday in many lengthy phases. As the political situations not only in the country but throughout the world are changing rapidly, elections are a matter of do or die. Democracy is being murdered by the political parties and the so called leaders. Elections now-a-days are proving that 'might is right'. People are losing hope in the system. Whether people are interested or not, the politicians and the so called leaders want to win any elections as power is their breath of life!

Tough not all, there are many people (mostly political activists and their sympathizers) who are waiting eagerly to know the outcome of the elections held in a prolonged manner. Though the actual and final results can be known on Saturday, 11th March, to quench their curiosity to some extend, they watch the exit poll predictions conducted by various agencies. But ironically most of the claims of the exit poll companies are proven to be wrong when the past exit poll results are analysed closely.

However lets have a look at the different Exit Poll (Opinion poll) results below:

As all the exit polls predicted the victory of BJP in all the four states viz except Punjab, it is not felt necessary to list in detail here.

Opinions on PM Modi's Demonetization and Currency Notes ban 2016

The sudden and unexpected announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8th November, 2016 banning 500 and 1000 Indian currency denominations with immediate effect was an unusual and surprising one. The reason for the ban is stated to eliminate the unaccounted black money hoarded by certain people. The result of this demonetization decision affected heavily almost all sections of the society. It literally paralyzed the whole economical system terribly. However the opinions and feedback of the people on this move are mixed.

Three weeks have passed since the implementation of big notes ban and putting a limit to the amount that can be withdrawn daily particularly by the common man, and by this time most average people living in every nook and corners of the country are affected very much.  The opinions of the people of the country on this move is different. While most of the members of the ruling NDA alliance (excluding some persons like BJP MP Sathrugnan Sinha who raise their voices without any fear) and its sympathizers praise the move as a 'bold' one, popular leaders like Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Bengal CM Mamatha Banerjee have been opposing it strongly from the day 1, terming it as an anti-people policy aimed to benefit only the multi million corporate companies like reliance and Adani that are associated with the prime minister and his BJP party. The Congress and the Communists have expressed support to any move to curb black money but are opposing the way in which it is being implemented.

As a whole the people of the country (even though they are corrupt in their individual level) want to put an end to corruption. Most people want to see an India free of corruption. The majority of the population are welcoming any such moves to clean-up the country and are willing to undergo any hardships for the betterment of the country. It is evident and proved now that the demonetization process was implemented without proper pre-planning and studies, which has led to this present chaos. We are witnessing a lot of resentment and strikes against the demonetization. People who fight against corruption need to self-examine whether he/she is honest.

Another section of the society that has come forward to openly praise the prime minister is the corrupt politicians and celebrities like Mohanlal who want to get noticed by the prime minister to escape from the number of investigations in which they are involved and to get an immunity over their huge black money hoarded inside and out side the country. When all corrupt-free political leaders and others are showing courage to raise their voices against the inexplicable hardships forced on to the people particularly the poor, those that are corrupt are forced to raise their voice of support to those who implemented it, saying it is a 'brave step'.

There is an allegation that this sudden and unexpected demonetization process is a part of the secret agenda that the prime minister Modi and his political partner Amit shah has. Many people have openly stated that this move is for the benefit of a handful of corporats who are behind Modi, who think they can control the majority of the foolish voters with the power of their money.

There is another allegation that this move which the government claims to have kept a secret, was known to the BJP party leaders and they were shown exhibiting the new 2000 currency bundles much before they were implemented in social medias. Some political parties opine that the BJP wanted to take undue advantage of the forthcoming UP elections and wanted to tight other opponent parties by implementing money control.

People are also asking where is the black money deposited in Swiss banks that the prime minister had promised to unearth, bring back and distribute Rs. 15 lakh each to all the people of the country. Even though the list of the illegal depositors is out, why no action is being initiated..?

Demonetization 2016, is a bold and brave move by the prime minister if the intention behind it is good, even though there are a lot of failures in its implementation and a lot of hardships to the people because of it. The people will forget all their pains once the fruit of the object is achieved and praise everyone who is behind it and term it as a historical move. On the other hand, if it is done keeping in mind other hidden agendas, the people will surely forget those who implemented it and time will reward them suitably...!

Americans elect Donald Trump as the 45th President and Melania as US 1st lady. What next?

The picture is clear now. The long wait is over. There is now an answer to the anxiety of the people of the world for which they were waiting curiously for quite a long time. The people of America preferred and voted for Donald John Trump of the Republican party candidate as their 45th president to Hilary Clinton representing the Democratic party. Even though Hilary Clinton's victory was predicted by most people of the world and many political analysts, taking into consideration her vast political experience and tolerance, Donald's victory is unexpected and surprising.

Making the quote 'Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan' very meaningful, many persons and international groups, parties like BJP have already started claiming their hard work and active part behind his victory. To get more votes somehow Trump has promised his love and future support for not only the Americans but also to most of the minorities in USA including the Indians (as he thinks Hindus) (which he may not be remembering in the run).

Donald John Trump who is a successful business man is very rich but is a novice in politics. He has proved clearly his political and social immaturity and intolerance to many global communities in his speeches stage talks. He is an example for a leader without a stern policy. Many people of the world fear his attitude towards the whole Muslim community and all the people from Mexico. Some people consider him as a person close to the mindset of North Korean crazy president Kim Jong-un who often threatens the world with his nuclear weapons.

With the defeat of Hilary Clinton the chance of the 45th USA president to be a woman also faded. With the victory of Donald Trump, his (model) wife Melania is the new 1st lady of the country who will shift to the white house.

Time only can prove whether the decision of the American voters was right or wrong. Though it is not proper to judge a person without seeing his activities or works, some people strongly believe that the victory of ineligible people (with unethical and intolerant nature) as rulers is one of the signs of the end times...!

Minister Maneka Gandhi, the savior of mad dogs and enemy of humans?

It is quite surprising to see the great love and concern union minister Maneka Gandhi has for the street dogs, animals and insects than the human beings. It is also alarming to see the attitude of some elected representatives of the people, showing over-concern in the case of animals, forgetting very conveniently that they were voted and elected by the people to give priority for the safety, security and welfare of the mankind.

We see these days, a good number of people are being attacked by street (mad) dogs in every part of India and many precious lives including innocent children, women and the elderly are lost and many persons are made permanently handicapped due to these unfortunate incidents. It is very sad that none of the elected representatives of the center including the prime minister of India (whose heart bleeded for the sake of Jisha when he came for election campaign in Kerala) showing any sympathy or condolences in the case of the increasing number of innocent victims of street dogs and other ferocious animals.

It is being taught, considered and believed that 'democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people'. The statements and mentality of elected representatives like Maneka Gandhi raises doubts in the people's minds, whether Indian Democracy is rewritten as a 'government of the animals by the animals for the animals'..!

Most people of India who revers and follows the great words that are written by enlightened poets like Thiruvalluvar in (Thirukkural), can never consider an animal or any other creation more valuable than a human life.

"Padaithan padaippellam manuvukkaka,
Manuvai padaithan Thanai vananka".

[God has created all creations for the sake of man ...
And HE created man to honor HIM]

Today's statement by Maneka Gandhi aired on Asianet news channel shows her immaturity and irresponsibility that she is showing in her department. Many people are asking whether she is not the minister of state for the women and children. When many women are being attacked and killed by street dogs (including 65-year old Shiluvamma recently) she was not found showing any botheration at all. How many innocent children are being attacked by the increasing number of street dogs...!

Maneka's call to the Kerala DGP to imposs CAPA on the socially responsible humanitarian volunteers like Industrialist Kochouseph Chittilapally and noted social worker Jose Maveli are being laughed away by the government and the whole people of Kerala except a handful of so called animal lovers who have gone insane. People of Kerala (including her own BJP party activists) are fully and unitedly backing any movement that gives priority for the welfare of the human beings.

Many people are challenging Maneka to move about alone (without security) in any area of Kerala calmly in an evening to find out and get a firsthand experience and answer to her question why the street dogs are more ferocious in Kerala..! People say these leaders who move about in cars always with z category security can never understand the plight of the common man of this country. They are also worried when such rulers are going to adopt and frame new laws for the protection of rats, mosquitoes, cockroaches, etc...!
