Asianet News - C FORE Kerala Pre-Poll Survey Results 2021

2021 Kerala Assembly Election dates are not yet declared. But all political parties are trying various strategies to secure maximum seats in the polls and grab power. Even though the ruling LDF government is plunged in neck-deep corruptions, inefficiency and all sorts of malpractices, C M Pinarayi Vijayan and team seem to be very confident of getting comfortable seats to rule Kerala state once again.

At the same time, for the Congress led UDF, it is a life and death game. If they fail to win maximum seats and form the government this time, it will be a fatal blow not only to the Indian National Congress party, but to all the parties in the front that may even affect their survival.  

And for the BJP, it is a golden chance to fish from the muddy water and to put a solid political base by winning some seats in Kerala. BJP's advancement in Kerala is considered as a dangerous move for the minorities particularly the Muslims.

There are also news and speculations about the 'secret deal' between the CPI(M) and the BJP to help one another to destroy the Congress party completely.

The entry of new popular political parties like 'Twenty20 party' and 'One India One Pension' (OIOP) will be a threat to all the three fronts in this elections, particularly to the UDF.

Though nothing is predictable at the moment, everyone is eager to know the current trends and the latest survey results for a temporary relief.

The first pre poll survey is conducted by 'Asianet news and C Fore' with regard to the Kerala Assembly Election 2021. In this survey the verdict is in favour of the ruling Pinarayi Vijayan government. Here are the survey results in a nutshell. 

* The survey predicts the possibility of LDF coming back to power with the advantage it may get in the Assembly segments of Southern Kerala.

* The 'free food kits' being supplied to all households and the hiked welfare pensions are the most liked schemes of this government.

* Majority of the people feel Pinarayi Vijayan as the most preferred candidate to be the Chief Minister with 39% votes, followed by Oommen Chandy with 18% votes. 9% of the survey participants preferred Shashi Tharoor as the CM candidates and 7% opted K K Sailaja. Only 6% of the participants voted for Ramesh Chennithala and 5% K Surendran.

* The survey predicts that BJP will not make any impressive improvement in this election as of now.

രണ്ടു നേതാക്കന്മാരുടെയും സഖ്യ മാറ്റം പാലായിലെ വോട്ടർമാരെ ആകെ കുഴപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ആര്  ഇവിടെ ജയിക്കും  ആര് തോൽക്കും എന്നുള്ളത് ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രവചിക്കാൻ പറ്റാത്ത സാഹചര്യമാണ്. ക്രൈസ്തവ ഭൂരിപക്ഷമുള്ള പാലായിലെ ജനങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ ഒരു വശത്തു് LDF -നോടുള്ള വെറുപ്പ്, മറു വശത്തു സമീപകാല വിദ്വേഷ പ്രസംഗങ്ങൾ മൂലം UDF -നോടു ഉണ്ടായ  അകൽച്ച, മറ്റൊരു വശത്തു അടുത്തകാലത്തായി BJP -യോടുള്ള മൃദു സമീപനം... ഇതിനെല്ലാം പുറമെ സ്വീകാര്യനായ ഒരു വ്യക്തി ട്വന്റി20  യുടെ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായാൽ ഉണ്ടായേക്കാവുന്ന ചലനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം വോട്ടർമാരെ അവസാന നിമിഷം വരെ സ്വാധീനിച്ചേക്കാവുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളാണ്.

Dr Shashi Tharoor has been a Lok Sabha Member from Thiruvanathapuram in Kerala since 2009. He is a Congress leader having fans (majority of them literate) throughout the country and abroad. Before entering active politics in India, he served as the Under Secretary General of the United Nations Organization.

Even though Shashi Tharoor is one of the few highly learned and efficient politicians in the country and has been doing justice to his position as a staunch Congress M P, it is not known why the Congress leadership has not recognized him properly or used his ideas and expertness for the betterment of the party and the country. May be it is because he is not a member of any useless groups in the state Congress that usually prevent the party from winning elections.

Recently the Congress high command gave Shashi Tharoor the responsibility of drafting the Congress Election Manifesto for the upcoming Assembly Elections . This move is considered as a positive movement by the people. As he is probably the only politician in India who can prepare a manifesto in accordance to the international standards, it is hoped that he will do it very brilliantly and systematically. 

As a part of his new responsibility, Shashi Tharur has already started the program titled as 'Talk to Tharoor' in which the response is awesome. He has started interacting with people belonging to various sections of the society such as youths, students, women, corporates, etc and collecting their ideas for preparing the manifesto.

chandy oommen s/o senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy yesterday exposed his (probably his father's) attitude about many burning issues caused these days by the islamic terrorism. In a talk delivered in a muslim students political gathering, he justified the devilish act of Turkey president erdogan, converting the world famous Hagia Sophia Church into a mosque. 

He also justified the recent act of 'halalization' by a section of the muslim community intended to invade the markets and to widen the gap among different religions living amicably in India since centuries.

Already Christian and Hindu community in Kerala have apprehensions these days that the UDF party which they have been supporting, is being hijacked by muslim leage party which has been revealing its 'true coluor' these days. Though the party pretends to be 'secular', all their actions prove that they are rigid religious. The party's stand against Christians and others in the state recently have caused Christians and Hindus ditch the UDF for fear that if UDF wins in the ensuing elections, muslim leage party will gain more strength in the Kerala government which is dangerous for the state and even for 'secularism'

To appease the muslim crowd and to win their applauds in the MSF meating, chandy oommen yesterday passed derogatory statements about many burning issues that have hurt severely the feelings of Christians worldwide. Whether knowingly or unknowingly chandy oommen has cleared the doubts in the minds of Christians that UDF is no more a party for them. No doubt, his speech will also contribute considerably in digging the grave of UDF in Kerala.

In the 2015 local self government polls, Twenty20 contested in the Kizhakkambalam Grama Panchayth council and won 17 out of the 19 seats and shocked the traditional political parties who are generally corrupt. Vowing to make Kizhakkampalam the best and ideal Panchayat in India by 2020 they adopted strategies for the sustainable development of the area. Seeing the total acceptance of twenty20 among the people, some leaders of the the three dominating political fronts in Kerala named LDF, UDF, NDA, who have been exploiting the poor people for many years have gone insane. These political fronts that criticise each other on several issues joined together to attack the twenty20 volunteers during the previous local polls. Kerala witnessed with much shock and grief some political goons manhandling very cruelly some innocent voters on the polling day to prevent voters from casting their mandate for Twenty20. And the most socking thing was that none of the leaders of Congress, CPI(M) or BJP contemned the attack till this date. Because of this the popularity of Tewnty20 increased and many neutral voters started hating these parties and fronts and have decided to support Twenty20 hereafter.

In the ensuing 2021 Assembly Elections, Team Twenty20 has declared its decision to contest Ernakulam Assembly Constituency in Kerala. They have also expressed their willingness to contest other constituencies as well. It is hoped that the Keralites will ditch the corrupt politicians and teach them a fitting lesson by voting for the Twenty20 candidates for the betterment of their lives and the total development of 'God's Own Country' without corruption or unjust practices...!
